First Annual Summer Active Chess Festival

Saturday August 15

Venue is the Legion Hall in Bowser

Tournament Director is Elliot Raymer from Victoria Chess Club

Pre-registration fee is $10 before August 8.  From August 8 on registration is $15

All equipment, boards, pieces and clocks will be provided.

 

Prizes for overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd place, Under 15 and Under 10

and top woman will be announced before the tournament.

We are currently seeking sponsors for prizes.

For excellent local family dining try the Ship and Shore Cafe in Deep Bay for breakfast, lunch and dinner or the Knockannana Grill at the Legion Hall, open from 3 to 8 pm on Saturday (4 to 7 on weekdays) or the Bean Counter Cafe til 5 pm.  The tournament is in the same hall that houses the Knockannana Grill and they will be open to serve our players.  Bottled water will be provided in the hall and out of respect for the Grill, we ask that you refrane from bringing food and beverages from outside.  Full grocery service is available at TOMM's Food Village in Bowser.
